Saint Iris x Kinder Kitchen
Deeply rooted in the Med-Adriatic diet, our key sensorial and efficacious ingredients start their journey from eco farms, via laboratories and into our formulas - to give your skin what it craves and Adriatic has in abundance! The connection between the good life, health and pleasurable benefits of delicious food, it’s all part of Adriatic Bodywellth (where body and health are in harmony).
So it’s fitting to share our latest collaboration with Kinder Kitchen, and its founder Hannah.
A qualified nutritionist, plant-based recipe developer and health writer, Hannah works with people to help improve their physical and mental health through food and lifestyle. A big part of it is to tune-up people's relationship with food, and with themselves. She says: “It’s amazing how much easier making healthier decisions are when you live with more love for yourself.
I haven't always had an easy relationship with food, in fact it was quite the opposite, but it was my own journey of healing that eventually lead me to a love of food and cooking, which evolved into a fascination with the human body and the capacity of food to heal (which continues to blow my mind, daily!).”
Following a degree in Nutritional Medicine & Dietetics in Sydney, Hannah studied yoga, massage and cooking all over the world. Her mission is to share her knowledge with as many people as possible, in a way that is accessible and sustainable.
Hannah says: “My goal is to inspire people to eat (and live) in a way that is kinder to themselves and the world around them, and to show them that healthy eating doesn't have to be expensive, complicated, boring or centred around the latest fad diet doing the rounds on social media.”
What makes Kinder Kitchen and Hannah special is her interest in gut health and cognitive (brain) health, the latter being a cause very close to her heart after losing her wonderful grandad to Alzheimer's Disease.
Hannah’s take on Saint Iris products:
"Everything about the products feels so nourishing and full of love and they've been the perfect addition to my self care rituals. Merry-Berry Plump literally feels like self love in a bottle and I now can't imagine my morning or evening routine without it. It smells so good that I have to remind myself not to drink it every time I apply it.
I've been using the Purity Paste once or twice a week and it leaves my face looking and feeling more fresh and alive after. As a nutritionist, I'm all about nourishing the skin from the inside out first, but the products we use topically are so important too and work synergistically with a good diet to help us look (and more importantly FEEL!) our most radiant and glowing selves."
Hannah has also created a delicious and nutritious breakfast inspired by ingredients in Merry-Berry Plump. Enjoy!
“There are so many beautiful ways to nourish your skin from the outside and the Merry Berry Plump is a perfect example of that, but it’s important to compliment skincare with a nutrient dense diet and adequate hydration to nourish this skin from the inside out. This breakfast pudding takes inspiration from the berry mix of Merry-Berry Plump and is packed with skin-loving nutrients such as vitamin C and other antioxidants and good fats (especially omega 3 fatty acids). It’s also rich in fibre, which is loved by the gut, and anything loved by the gut is loved by the skin."
